Nadal asked to have his match moved to watch Spain play on Sunday. Supposedly Nadal sent his good friend Iker a text congratulating the squad on the win and I bet it was reciprocated this weekend. I love tennis as a player and fan and its nice to see things like this. Although, I do wish Nadal had truly become a Barca fan and not just a supporter of the team when his uncle was there. I, too, started watching tennis during the Sampras/Agassi saga (total Agassi fan - was one of the millions of kids pretending they had a blond mop while smashing balls in park tennis courts) but until this match, I'd pretty much lost interest. I, along with a lot of other people, I imagine, will probably start paying a lot more attention now. Congratulations, Rafa. Calderon may be hated by Manchester United fans, but he is pretty much loved by true Madridista's which is nice. And I was just happy to see a great tennis match, those to will meet plenty more times, but that match was special.
