That sounds like Schuster in a nut shell, its funny how a teams play can reflect the coaches personal characteristics. Schuster has always be undecisive and lacking in discipline (strange for a German). While Capello was decisive and full of discipline and it showed on the field. Luxemburgo and the youth coaches we had never really stamped much of an identity on the team, but Del Bosque was at times care free and creative as a coach, and it really showed in the team. And we won titles with the last two coaches that stamped an identity on the team, so maybe all is not lost with Schuster, but his identity isnt typical of a winner.

It's really the lack of fundamental play that's shocking to me. Whether that means marking your man on a set piece or something as basic as SHOOTING THE BALL, it seems like no-one's reminding this squad of the basics. The ultimate effect is a side that lacks discipline and desisiveness.

Schuster has been poor with his decisions in the second half of games. I am a little disappointed in his tactical know how as well, he has been severly out coached in most of the losses the second half of the season.

I feel your pain buddy. It's funny that the defensively minded Capello brought us more excitement and last minute heroics to be proud of than a Schuster coached squad has and probably ever will.

Seriously, look at this statistic: 9 total shots, 0 shots on goal. I mean, C'mon!

By the second half I was screaming for Baptista to be put in. It seems like he's the only player who's willing to play the ball forward, rather than horizontally, and actually take a shot. Basically, I feel like the players at Madrid don't want to take responsibility. They pass the ball off rather than take a shot or attempt to break through the defence. Watching them ditch the ball is like watching grade schoolers play hot potato.

the rumor mill has started up, Diego confirming he wants to play at Real, Pepe telling the Press that Quaresma had called him to ask how he liked playing at Real (Pepe of course had good things to say), Pavlyochenko getting press, and who knows who else will be thrown into the mix before the season is up. Saviola is gone for sure, things not looking good for Soldado. At this point, I wouldn't even say Guti is safe. I would imagine that Sneijder, Ruud, Raul, Iker, Sergio, Torres(only because he is a Real product), Pepe, Robben are probably safe, but everyone else is probably an option for trade, loan or sell. We could see a very different team next year, coach and all.

Sorry don't mean to be a sensationalist, these guys still might end up winning the league, but that's just not good enough at Real anymore. Unfortunately, I would say Schuster has been primarily to blame, but it's also a fact that this team is unbalanced, with too many left wingers, not enough right wingers. No consistent mid-field driving force, old un-dynamic strikers, a back line that can't stay healthy, etc.. And then there is Saint Iker, he's definitely safe.

i think that only one to blame is tha coach! leaving robinho, and bautista on tha bench. The only one that should have bein on the bench should have bein in soldado! or even put him in tha 2nd half. CHANGE THA COACH!
