Ruud is doubtful so robinho may startwith raul upfront meaning the midfield is open but I'd bet on baptista and sneijder, maybe ballboa and drenthe will get sub appearances

I would strongly argue in favor of Balboa on the right side, if he's truly fit, and would love to see Drenthe start at left wing. Although I again caution taking any game lightly, Almeria is the kind of team where players of their rising talent should get more experience.

However, after Guti's performance last Sunday, it wouldn't seem fair to bench him. It also seems that when Guti's on a roll, it's best to let him keep rolling. Benches break his confidence, and his momentum, and I don't want to see that happen. So, perhaps

Balboa-Guti-Diarra-Robinho(or Drenthe!)

for the midfield? I know that Guti and Diarra usually don't pair up well, so I'm not all that comfortable with it. but who knows what Schuster will decide.

'It's bad news. It's a hard injury to recover from and he might need surgery. He'll be out for between six and eight weeks,' Schuster said.

'I hope to have him back for the end of the season. It's a shame to lose him now.'

So my prediction that Metzelder may miss the season is not to far off. That sucks for us, but we have been coping without him for quite some time now.
