Brian’s pilgrimage to the Bernabeu…

By: Cesar | July 5th, 2009

I consider myself fortunate that I’ve been able to watch live the team I love the most, Real Madrid FC, both home and away, but nothing’s better than watching a game at the Bernabeu, especially if the Merengues win.

I still remember the first time I saw Real play at the Bernabeu, it was a 4th wedding anniversary gift from my wife, and we went together; I left with a bitter taste, because we lost against Recre 3-0, it was during Capello’s last season, when the club was really struggling, and before the memorable Remontada that saw us capture the Liga title; during that game, I loved the atmosphere, how the Ultra Sur chanted “Illa, Illa, Illa, Juanito Maravilla” several times when the game clock reached the 7 minute mark, the knowledge of the fans, and so many things that I would have to write an entire post about it, so maybe some other time

This post is about Brian’s trip to the Santiago Bernabeu, and the pictures he took while visiting our temple on a special day, the biggest club game in the world, the big tamale of matches, “El Clasico” no less!!!!

So here are the pictures, enjoy them:

Cesar, you’re a legend! Thanks a lot! Don’t know if other people will care about this but at least you understand.

Brian, my wife is making fun of me because you called me a “legend”; she says the only legend related to me is my “legendary appetite”, lol
