Castilla Defender Juanan Interview

Juanan, center back of the Castilla selection, did an interview for the official website a few weeks back. It is customary for a Castilla player to be interviewed once a week by the official site as sort of a training to deal with the media for the young lads. It also keeps you abreast of the going-ons with the team and some of its star individuals. It is also been mentioned to me before that these interviews are usually picked based on what players are performing well at the moment. This past summer I posted a whole bunch of Real Madrid TV interviews from the golden generation of 05-06 Castilla players that showcased a series of players who are now involved in La Liga. The same can be said for the official website interviews.

Without haste, here is the interview, poorly translated as only Babelfish could:

“The work is intense and is much comradeship here” Javier Coloma and Cristina Monk One is becoming an important piece in this Castile. He says it to he himself: “I want to help the equipment”. That would be the best letter of presentation of Juanan, power station of the Castile, arrived the past summer from the Sport one from the Corunna and that already is one more of the group: “The adaptation has gone rather well. It is a young group, with good companions who help you in everything. In addition, the city is quite pretty and has of everything to enjoy in her”.

It has the complexión and the will in the field of a veteran, but the eyes like a shine to him a boy when Castile speaks of its new adventure in Real Madrid: “The facilities have impressed Me, to see how the Club works. The way to work is very intense and is much comradeship in clothes. You come with desire to learn and here much is learned”. Juanan comprises of the list of new soccer players of Castile for this season. Already experimented in this to be abroad (it is of Palma de Mallorca but it arrived in 2006 at Corunna to play in the quarry of `Depor’), assures to take the distance well: “I do not miss anything. I have been three years abroad and I already have myself customary.

In addition, to my it accompanies me fiancee to all sides and it is helping me much”. Their 191 centimeters of height come to improve a group like the one of the Castile that takes six parties without knowing the defeat, but that does not finish taking off itself of the tie (five of those six encounter finished in tables). The Majorcan adds itself to the optimistic feeling of all the group: “In the Sport one I faced several years them and one sees that they have an incredible quality and desire to work and to learn. He would request patience, this equipment he works well, he has good dot. The results will arrive and we will be there above”.

The interview is nothing special, but I post this because Juanan has trained with the first team today in a view to making the match squad for the Getafe game. Exciting news for a player who just arrived at Real this summer from Deportivo B, where it must be said he was very impressive, making a few first team appearances for Depor along the way. With Garay injured, Metzelder looking a little rusty after an injury lay off himself, and Pepe and Albiol in need of some cover, there is a chance Juanan could make the list. Great news too, because his imposing physical nature would go hand in hand with the quicker Pepe or the more cerebral Albiol.

Also of interest is that even with Sergio Ramos and Arbeloa both fit for selection, Daniel Opare trained with the first team squad today as well. Interesting considering he had been away with Ghana winning the u-20 World Cup in Eygpt for three weeks and played very little, if at all, for that team. Great news of course, as Pellegrini continues to have a look at players from the cantera, although he has only called up Acuna to the bench so far this season. Lets hope for more luck from one of the canteranos this weekend maybe, where we face four, possibly five ex-Real Madrid Castilla players in Soldado, Parejo, Torres, Adrian Gonzalez and on the bench Codina. Should be great to see them all back at the Bernabeu again!

    Hi everyone!

I have had one really hectic October and that is one reason why I havn´t been posting here lately.. Shit load at work, my son had the notorious A(H1N1) flue (he his fine now), spent one week in Madrid (second time at the Bernabeu and I witnessed my second loss there LOL) and last week my Internet connection went down.. Ive been reading the blog and the comments every night through my Iphone so ive been updated.

Just wanted to say that I have seen all the games this month and I am also very angered by our performance. But I am more angered and ashamed of fellow so called madridistas for their behavior on this blog and many other sites after we lose a game.. You know who you are and you make me more sick than Real madrid did losing to a 3rd tier team that the Castilla have beaten 10 out of 11 times (last game they drew).

Corey, Cesar, Andres, Mohammad, Bassam, Zizou and everyone (Xkevin included) who for so long kept this site the best Real Madrid blog on the net – keep up great work on the posts and comments.. If it wasn´t for you guys I would be one sad Madridista..

    HALA MADRID!!

Welcome back Granit. Thanks for the compliments.

Zizou: I do not think Pellegrin is going to abandon Drenthe and Marcelo until atleast January. Even then, we are stuck with them until the summer, so barring injuries, Marcos Alonso will be with Castilla for the remainder of the season. Juanan is a center back so he would be providing cover for Pepe and Metzelder who are coming off injuries and Albiol who has barely had a rest lately. Garay should be the guy to cover for them, and he looked good against Sporting, but he pulled something so he will be out for a few games.

oh man, that sucks Granit! Hope your son is doing better though. It seems everyone is getting the H1N1 these days. I heard something about the Chelsea team being infected with it as well. The important thing is that your son is back to full health. Really nice to have you back!

Should we move on to the Getafe game! Corey, are you going to do a preview of that game? I know we ask a lot of you :D

I know that the one thing Pellegrini wanted before the start of the season was 2 players for every position. He might have lost trust with Drenthe or Marcelo and doesn’t want to rely on them any more, which would mean he would ask Arbeloa to play as LB from now on. This would mean Ramos would be the lone RB we have so maybe he’s seeing how Opare would fit in with the team. Clearly all of this is just conjecture, but I hope he gives some opportunities to the youth players, even though there’s all this pressure on him to get results.

I saw the Spain U-17 game. Sarabia was brilliant…again! I also saw him do something none of the front four of Madrid have ever done this season. Sarabia passed the ball in front to the LB who was running past into open space, and instead of running with him, he stopped and filled the gap left behind. Spain lost the ball and as UAE were counterattacking, Sarabia stayed in the LB position the entire time till they got the ball back and switched positions again. We will never see Ronaldo, Kaka, Benz, etc do that unfortunately. Oh, and Isco had a great goal. Dribbled past four defenders and scored.

Valid points James. The signs point to Drenthe and Marcelo being dropped and possibly sold. Both have had a lot of time to settle in and start performing, Marcelo more so then Drenthe. With age still on both of their side, they will continue to get the benefit of the doubt, but if it was the end of the season tomorrow, I doubt either would renew the lease on their flat….

And Sarabia is a very talented player for sure, and how he covered the left back position is something you rarely see from players in the modern game. I know I always did that when my left back over lapped. It was the right tactical move, and I always had my left back’s..well back. It helped that we had been friends since 2nd grade (and still am), but its fundamentals that seem to have been lost on professional players. You cant put a premium on that kind of discipline though, and its nice to see its taught in our cantera. Maybe if we used more cantera players in our first team we would see some of this selfless play!

not much comes out of goal.com that deserves praise, but i thought that the article below is not bad at all.

Drenthe came with a lot of promise but I think the move to Madrid came too early in his career and I think it would benefit him to leave the club for a smaller one where he has more time to develop
