Castilla Records Fifth Win of Preseason
By: Corey | August 25th, 2009The Castilla team continued an impressive preseason campaign with their fifth straight win to remain unbeaten before their campaign kicks off in a few weeks. This time they beat Salamanca, a Segunda side 1-0, with a strong performance despite it only being a friendly and a bulk of the squad being used in the match. The match also marked the debut of Raul Ruiz, who had been purchased from Hercules a few days prior to the match, and he had a good showing on the right of midfield before being replaced by Javi Hernandez. A butchered translation of the match is below:
Castile continues being intratable this preseason. And it is not only because it has conquered his fifth consecutive victory, is that in addition, this has taken place before a height rival as is the U.D. Salamanca of Second Division. The equipment was hermetic and maintained the intensity defending the 1-0 definitive one. Another good news is the debut of the last signing of the branch: Raul Ruiz. The last incorporation to the rows of Real Madrid Castile, the young player coming from the Hercules Raul Ruiz, hardly made debut with the t-shirt of the branch one week after adding itself to the training next to the rest of its companions.
The of Alicante one exerted of left end connecting in diverse occasions with a Javi Hernandez in the workings of mediapunta. By the right, a day more, good work of another one of the reinforcements of this season: Juanfran. Again, Alexander Menéndez changed of eleven and is that, without a doubt, the Asturian technician wants to continue proving in these examinations of preseason all alternatives. This behind schedule against the U.D. Special Salamanca attention to some “pairs” that surely we will see habitually throughout the season. First she is the formed one by Gary and Juanan in center of the rear. Two forceful men and with experience – both know what is to make debut in First Division, that have demonstrated much solution.
Another pair, and almost we could say that “of hall”, she is the one that conforms in center of the field Pedro Mosquera and Marcos Tébar. Two canteranos of pro that emphasize by their vision of game and its enormous technical quality; in addition, we spoke of two men with goal: Mosquera is next to Coins pichichi of the preseason with two so many, whereas Tébar Marks could be released in these combat if it had not gone away barely turned aside great chut his from the frontal (min.52). And from another good connection the first goal of afternoon arose (min.38). Juanfran put a good center to the area where Szalai tried, time and time again, to do what better it knows: to mark.
Although the one was the own defense of Salamanca Raul Gañán did that it in own goal, the madridistas congratulated to the Hungarian forward by its good work. But in this first half is possible to review the great action of a man who works “only”. The Antonio doorman Adam returned to demonstrate to his great state of form preventing the goal of the visitors in two clear occasions. A first one against one of Linares that it defines perfectly bad and stops the white doorman (min.10); and second, a fort firing of Loyal, previous Hugo to a good center of the best one of Salamanca, the left-handed end Laionel, that stops the madridista cancerbero (min.40). Again merry-go-round of changes in second half in both sets which is transformed in intermitencias in the rate of the party. But Castile stayed hermetic, defended the result and could even sentence.
It was in the boots of Javier Coins, who after making all good – to lower the ball and to haggle to the defense were mistaken before the doorman who cleared the firing to send the ball outside (min.76). New victory of preseason and goes five. Good work done and injection moral, by the results that are being harvested, to confront the last weekend of August the liguero opening against the Athletic one of Madrid.

GOLES:
1-0 (min. 38): Gol en propia puerta de Raúl Gañán tras un buen centro de Juanfran.
Another great result for Castilla before the season starts this Sunday against Atletico B. It will be a great math I am sure, and it looks like Castilla could be the team to beat this season in the Tercera. Castilla has had just as impressive a preseason as Real has, with only one loss against Al Ittihad’s first team in their kick off match:
Good results and done in a style Real youth team players are accustomed to, with an attacking 4-4-2 where possession and short passing leads to strong wing play and chances for the strikers. Juanan has been a rock next to Gary in the center of defense, and I would say Pellegrini should keep his eye on both player if there are any injuries, although with Metzelder playing so well in preseason and Garay slowly adjusting, the first team has a good center back core.
Juanfran had the cross that setup the own goal, and he has been an impressive option on the wing this preseason, so much so that it was announced today that Miguel Palance has been sent to Castellon on loan for the season in the Segunda. This is obviously a great opportunity for Palanca to show case his talents, because I cant see him making it in to the first team unless he has a fantastic year with Castellon, and even then it still seems unlikely. Not sure why, we know he is a good player, but the coaches obviously see something else and a loan to Castellon should help him mature as a player.
I am still working on the Castilla season preview, which I hope to have up tomorrow. It may come earlier though, lets see how much I can get through in the next few hours of procrastination. Until then, HALA MADRID
