Why buy a defender in progress for 20mil when you could have other, lower-profile, also developing players for 5mil or 10mil max? I disagree with the hyperinflation of transfer fees and I'm hoping that Laporta can pull of some behind-the-scenes deal where we send Ezquerro to them plus 10mil for Garay. I wonder what the price will be, really, and whether a backup is worth the amount they're going to be asking. At 21, Garay has the potential to replace basically anyone there is -- specifically Puyol a few years from now -- so hopefully this pans out for us. So I expect a price of something like 10-12million euros (isn't that like 75million US dollars by today's exchange rate? Ziiiing).
