I Dont Think Robinho Leaves
By: Corey | August 8th, 2008
I have seen all of the flair up recently that because Rafeal has been signed, that Robinho was now ready to leave. I have also seen that Robinho was the subject of a 19 million euro bid from Chelsea. Now if Robinho and his pin head agent thought being included in a swap deal for Cristiano Ronaldo was insulting (no such thing ever was considered according to source inside the Bernabeu), then a measly 19 million euro bid surely should be insulting as well. Sure Robinho is not paid as much as some of the other club members, which should have been rectified, but the way Robinho went about demanding a new contract certainly put the club off.
So now the issue becomes, is the club bigger then Robinho or is Robinho to big in his own mind for the club. To think his pencil legs are going to make it in the EPL for a few seasons baffles me, although somehow glass man made 20 appearances in his first two seasons with Chelsea. The wages he would be offered are through the roof, but again, I dont see this happening. Robinho has the chance, this year, to make the claim for being one of the best in the world. If he moves to Chelsea, that will set him back a year atleast, because he wont adjust to the EPL and his new team so quickly, he just is not that kind of player.
He also has not said anything publicly to the affect of I want out, and players interviewed have said that while he is disappointed on missing out on the Olympics, he is still happy to be in camp with Real. I dont see what Robinho is frustrated with. He had a legitimate injury that kept him out of the Olympics, although it cleared up fast, and because he is an over-23 player, Real does not have to release him anyway. So there really was not much to get angry about. While Diego, Messi and Rafinha make headlines because their clubs want them back, they are under 23 and thus requried to appear. I dont give a shit what some sport court of arbitration says, the Olympic soccer games are already devoid of meaning when the are a u-23 player limit. Might as well scrap the tournament and just say the u-21 World Cup champion won the Olympics too.
Plus, Real is not in a position to sell, especially since Ronaldo will not be arriving. VdV will not take Robinho’s role in the team, so that seems a bogus excuse. He wont have to worry much about Robben because he is always injured, and Drenthe, who is that? He isnt guarenteed a starting spot unless he plays well, but is that not the way it should be? He will have competition from Florent Malouda and Salom Kalou at Chelsea. I think rotating Robinho and Robben based on form is a great idea and will really help the team, but Robinho’s ego may not like that. If he really steps up his play, then he cant definately prove himself to be one of the best in the world.
Bullshit like this will not sway Real to sell him, and I think that if Robinho really wants to be an important player for the club then he may want to either tell his agent to shut the fuck up or get a new one. “Chelsea is affectionate to me” is such a load of shit, are you a 14 year old gir who wants a new boyfriend?!?! This is enfuriating, and it this point Real may very well fine Robinho for what his agent is doing. He is quite clearly posturing for a move to Chelsea so he can recieve a nice big slice, even though its still unclear if this is what Robinho wants. I tell you, the modern world of football is sickening some times, first all the Ronaldo shit, now all the Robinho shit.
So my stance on this is clear, Robinho stays and thats that. But if he leaves, fuck him and his agent, we dont need pre-madonna players in the team who think they are better then they really are. I only want those willing to sacrifice for the shirt, I am pretty sure Schuster, Calderon and the rest of the club feel the same.

Corey. I just read Wagner Ribiero’s latest Wagner Rape-you-ero’s latest vomit session, and I was so glad to read this post. I know I say this often, but once again, I couldn’t agree more with you. I’m so fucking sick of drama like this, and although I value Robinho highly as a player, if he - or his agent - feel that paychecks and limelight are more important than playing the game, than they should take their vaudeville act somewhere esle.

Thanks Freddy. More people are always welcome here.
I agree John, theres ways to go about things in life, and Mr. Wagner Riberio certainly does not know them. My thing is, people always say that transfer gossip is the result of agents, but agents are employees of players, and players are employees of clubs. So technically agents are employed by clubs, which this kind of activity is not in the interest of the club. Players are responsible for what their agents do, so this kind of horse shit is ultimately at Robinhos feet.

I totally agree with you Corey, I only want players who really feel the colors, and are committed to the cause, and if Robinho wants to come here to London, let him come.
Everybody, have a great weekend

Hahahahaha glass man…couldn’t have described Robben better myself
Boo fucking hoo Robinho, stay healthy and consistent and you’ll earn a fair paycheck. Otherwise, get the hell out. This is clearly a team with extremely high goals for the season and needs no added distractions. Yeah, Madrid might have owed him a new deal, but at the same time, did they? Robinho’s impact on the pitch can’t simply be evaluated by looking at his time on the ball as he draws a lot of the defensive attention away from play, but I don’t think he’s really been the impact player that he thinks he is. I think we lose some potential to be dangerous by letting Robinho go, but at the same time, if it helps camaderie, so be it.

Calderon & Pedja’s hypocrisy is hillarious, they are upset that Robinho doesn’t like being disrespected and exploited and paid less than Salgado and supposedly want a player who bleeds for the jersey. Yet they want to bring in C.Ronaldo??? huh? Is this the same C.Ronaldo I know? Madrid needs to cut the f*cking sh*t and pay the best player on our team for the last 2 years the money he deserves or let him go and risk losing LA LIGA and CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
