barca failed to win again! a 2-2 draw with almeria. heh, that kinda makes this loss a bit better to take. is it just me or does it seem like the same story as last season, just that we’re in the lead now.

it’s beginning to seem like anything real can do we can do worse for barca right now. not that i’m complaining.

I think Guti needs to be benched for a few games and we need a midfield overhaul at the end of the season. Diarra is improving with his passing, has till end of the season to cement his place. We need someone like Diego/(fabregas ) in our midfield. We often run short of ideas and rely heavily on guti’s through passes. You CANNOT build a CL winning team around Guti. Remember how he thrived when Zidane was there? It gave him acres of space and eons of time. I guess they bought Sneijder for this and it hasn’t clicked. I guess we can keep this rant at the end of the season. If Barca had not been so pathetically inconsistent, the would be on top.

This is starting to get ridiculous. I have to agree with you Corey, this has to fall squarely on Schuster’s shoulders. While the curse of the Raizor is an interesting fact, it’s also nonsense. What the hell is it lately? Bad schemes, poor motivation, poor lineup management, or just simply getting out coached? It seemed to me Bernd had instructed his men to do exactly what John had suggested, play slow precise football and try to lure Depor. in and catch them off guard, which is not a bad idea. Except they didn’t fall for it, and Schuster sat there and made no changes. So he let the game become a midfield struggle on both ends, with our forwards disappearing, unfortunately for Soldado, who played poorly anyway (what a disappointment). There were some noticeable differences once Robinho and Higuain came on, but too little too late. Why did he not make those changes sooner?

And don’t get me started on Guti. It’s funny the analyst were laughing and calling him an enigma of consistency and poor performance. When is the last time he attributed his good play to Berndt being the best coach he ever had? or how he wants to be just like Berndt when he grows up? etc…

I don’t know what else to say, I’m freakin’ spent. Schuster, you got some ’splainin’ to do.

Wow, I’ve heard of some teams not playing well in certain locations, but this takes it to a new level.

What a terrible performance, I am getting incredibly frustrated with Schuster, he is bottling the Liga as well. If it wasnt for Barca being just as inconsistent I would say they would have won it by now.

Actually, Julian De Guzman’s not applied to play for the Dutch. He’s still very much a Canadian. Only his younger brother in Feyenoord has applied to play for the Dutch.
