That’s an interesting idea, Ramzi. We’ve often speculated playing Ramos in a more forward position on the pitch, but usually as a DM. I’d be interested to see your suggestion line up on the pitch, and given our injury woes, it wouldn’t hurt to get a little creative.

I think injuries are drafting schuster to the right formation by no intention, Ramos had to start playing as a CB since for weeks, burying Torres under the bench is a crime!
You want a crazy idea for real madrid from a barcelona fan? here we go:

Torres as a RB, pepe and canavaro CB, Marcelo/heinza on the LB, AND:

Drenthe left wing, gago & Sniejder mifdfield and RAMOS on the right wing, Vandervart/Raul as AM and Higuin striker!

You think its crazy and will not work? well as a barcelona fan i hope u think so forever;)

I think there were actually quite a few positives from this match. The midfield – albeit a bit lacking, defensively – is a variation on my favorite combination from last season (Robinho, Sniejder, Gago, Guti). Seeing as how Drenthe is showing very impressive improvement, I’ll be content to see him take Robinho’s spot in that line up; I hope to see a lot more of it.

I thought Guti played very well yesterday (I am a bit biased, though) proving he can still torment defenses when given enough space. Still, I couldn’t help but notice that instead of delivering his typical incisive through balls, opting instead to push the ball out to the wing. One way of interpreting this is a vote of no confidence for El Capitan. I hate to say it, but injuries are the only thing justifying Raul’s spot in the starting XI right now. Let’s hope he turns it around, as he’s done in the past.

I agree with Julien G. concerning Ramos: he played remarkably well, considering. He was definitely guilty of poor marking at times, and Recreativo should have scored given their chances, but until Canavaro returns, I’d favor him at center back over Heinze.

We should all remember how impressive Recre’s defense looked against Barcelona. When you think about that, Madrid actually looked quite good – simply lacking in quality up front. Despite our injury woes, officially the worse in La Liga

Yeah, I read too, and I couldn’t agree with Phil more; we all know Calderon is an idiot, but this has to be one of the worst things he’s done; it’s a no win situaton for the players, but they also deserve some blame, they could’ve come right after that lunch and said “thanks, but no thanks, we don’t need money for extra motivation”

I also read my friend Roncero’s article on As, and he said that “playing for Real Madrid should be enough motivation”

I think casillas last couple of games has looked the worst I have seen him for a few years – still a great player, but obviously something is not right.
Raul also has looked poor last couple of games, missing chances I know he would normally put away.

Great to see Ramos have a fantastic game. I thought Guti was good as well.

As.com says that higuain might be good to go next saturday against getafe …..hell yeaaaaa!!!! I thought he was gonna be out for way longer than that , thank god that’s not the case
