Mijatovic, WTF?

By: Corey | January 31st, 2009

Mijatovic has pulled a master stroke by signing Julien Faubert on loan for the remainder of the season from West Ham United. And when I say master stroke, I mean a brain fart, and you must also know I am making a wanking motion and smirking sarcastically. Is this really happening? Did we just sign this player who, in all my estimation, sucks. If Juande wanted him so be it, but he isnt even a right winger for christ sake, he is a shitty right back who attacks more then he defends. He had a decent half season at Bordeax, culminating in a France call-up and then whining to the press about not be able to leave that next summer.

I follow French football, and its a general consensus that Faubert is garbage. Ive also watched him play in the EPL, and he pushes the ball way to far forward and then runs after it and looses possession. I am pissed, this is a terrible signing. Valron Behrami may have been incrementally better, but this is pathetic. Great Mijatovic….your thoughts?

Lol yeah Andres, you might be right! Who the fuck is this guy? I don’t follow EPL much apart from the big teams, and frankly I’ve never even heard of this guy being any good, let alone Real Madrid standard. What is happening to us? Argh. Perez! I want you back.

Faubert was pretty good with Bordeaux, he had a period where he became a really important player for us… He’s well know in France, versatile pretty quick. Not the best signing but he’s a decent squad player and he’s here to help. It’s a 6 month loan.

Maybe I’m a bit bias but he’s not too bad but there nothing particularly special about him.

man , mijatovic makes alessio secco look like arrigo sacchi or pierpaolo marino or monchi. who the fuck is julien faubert ?? chop pedja’s head off. hell, palanca is far better than this piece of shit no-one has ever heard of.

guys, lets pool our resources together and put a price on mijatovic’s head. this guy is a fucking cule. even patetico declined to sign him. why not move for one of the brazilian supertalents like douglas costa or hernanes. or that boca juniors guy with a rat’s tail, rodrigo palacio. what the hell, someone start a fire mijatovic campaign.

I think the smart move would’ve been to stay pat this transfer market but for some reason Juande (not Pedja) DEMANDED another winger despite having Palanca and Accidrenthe already there. He must have know he was not gonna get an elite player in the winter market. Its just not possible unless you go all ManCity on somebody (and even that didnt work for them). Remember that Juande’s incentive is to win NOW because he wants his contract renewed. Thus, maybe taking some short term decisions that look kinda stupid in the long term. Either way a loan (albeit an expensive one) is a heck of a lot better deal than paying 12 g’s+ for the just as mediocre Valencia. You weren’t getting Hernanes, Palacios (their seasons already started) or Douglas Costa (playing the U20’s right now) in this transfer market.

Either way. You gotta admit AS is hilarious. Their editorial went something like this:

Faubert = French, played at Bordeaux, AND wore the 10 jersey for the French NT (albeit once but he STILL wore it).

Zidane = French, played fro Bordeaux, wore the 10 jersey.

It it therefore quite obvious and apparent that
Faubert = Zidane!!!! Let the good times roll!

C’mon tell me that’s not funny.

    In any case…..
*Evil Voice* Buhahahah! Gooooddd Pedja! Goooooddd…..

does anybody here know Voo doo we need to take messi out lol

He’s not that type of winger, he’s more of a give and go, 1, 2 winger.

Julien G I see , that is the type of winger we needed to go for tho because other than robben and higuain none of our players can dribble to save their lives if arjen gets hurt then we’d have to rely on quick passing ( which we have been very good at as of late )to break defenses o well its too late now we have no other choice but to hope that faubert will come good for us

Well he is a player with ambitions for the selection and for next six months he’ll be fighting to prove that he can stay with this team. So we can expect him to come out giving his all every match, which is what we want to see (there’s already more positives than negatives).

On top of that I don’t see him being more than a squad player or maybe a starter if Sneijder continues on his bad patch. He should be fine and would most likely leave at season end anyways.

Rayaa, you must be mentally handicapped or 4 years old to laugh at that shit. You’ve clearly indicated your level of stupidity with your first post here, and we’d really appreciate if you’d refrain from making us all dumber by posting again. Thank you.

It’s a suprize we couldn’t land Ribery or Valencia.
Given it’s only a loan, i dont really mind; I agree it doesnt seem to make sense to sign an ‘average player’ when we have Palanca who has shown he can do the job well.
Still I welcome additional competition for starting 11 and try to keep an open mind until i have seen this guy play.

certainly it seems inconsistent to complain or critise because you haven’t heard of a player but on the other hand complain about ‘galacticos’ signing policies.
Reading the thread Julain G. seems to be more familliar with the player than most of us – so I’m in agreement with him on this one.
As for people levelling acusations at Madrid becsaue we didnt sign a big player – well, let them because there’s no way to tell whether they are right or wrong.

I posted on another thread that my concern is where the creativity in midfield will come from, having a right winger will give the width and support that S Ramos craved but the neither players in the defensive pivot can ochestrate the game. (Sneijder did better in the 2nd half in the Guti role, while Lass did not work as hard this time)Palanca impressed on the right against Barça but he´s really a right sided midfielder not a winger.
I am horrified at the signing as well as you guys, but maybe with quality players around him, good training and a huge incentive to impress and get his contract renewed he might pull something out of the hat.
He might also find La Liga a less daunting environment to play in as it certainly permits much less physicality than the PL as apparently it is scared of getting reinjured
