UPDATED: No midweek liveblog :(
By: Steve | September 23rd, 2008Hala Madrid! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but tomorrow’s match against La Liga bottom-dwellers Sporting de Gijon will not be broadcast on Sky Sports, so alas, i won’t be liveblogging the match. However, do tune in on Saturday for the liveblog of Los Merengues’ visit to Real Betis.
UPDATE: reader Evo has alerted me to the fact that Sky will indeed be showing the match on Sky Sports 2 - except it’s on tape delay (for the Newcastle-Tottenham match!) so it’s not on til 10pm GMT. I’ll be watching the match, but I think it defeats the purpose of the liveblog if it’s not actually, you know, live.
However, I will bend to the will of our faithful readers if the desire is there for a liveblog. So let me know ASAP in the comments if you want to see one.

Hmph. This is the page i use to check if the matches are on: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12942,00.html
Since it’s not listed, i didn’t think it was going to be shown. So it’s not cuz i’m lazy, it just didn’t appear to be on TV.
That said, I did say “liveblog”, not “tape-delayblog”, so ha! besides, the fun thing about a liveblog is actually reading it while the action is going on…
if you’re going to be watching a live feed, then my liveblog won’t come on til after the match is done, which defeats the purpose.
