Robinho Says No Thanks
By: Corey | July 14th, 2008
Robinho that he was not interested in being part of a Ronaldo swap deal with Manchester United, something that we were all aware of through his agent, Wagner Ribiero. But at the time, Ribiero stated that Robinho fancied a move to Chelsea as he had grown upset with the way Real were using him as a pawn. Well now Robinho has come out and spoken up, saying that he only thinks of Real Madrid and the beginning of pre-season training.
But it is also well known the Mijatovic and Robinho will meet this week to discuss a few things, mainly a contract renewal but also the two sets of media issues discussed above. Mijatovic wants to know why a Real player’s agent claimed that he wanted to join another team while Robinho wants answer to the Ronaldo deal. The talks are expecting to go smoothly though, as like his greasy haired predecessor Jorge Valdano, Pedja Mijatovic is sooth sayer to say the least.
Stay tuned for any herpes news flair ups.

I don’t think Real will sell him, the media will stir anyting up, Im sure Robinho mentioned he’d be up for the premier in the case Real didn’t count with him, which is very different from simply stating he wants to move out to the UK.
If Real succeed signing CR, which im almost positive its going to happen within the next few days, Real will have two deadly wingers and one waiting on the bench. Add a sub for RVN and this team shall be 100% competitive again.

Anyone have any thoughts on Roma’s $15 million euro bid for Baptista? I’ve always loved the beast, but with Sneijder continuing to improve, I’ve made the comment before that Baptista is kind of a redundancy.

Baptista may fit into Roma’s scheme, but he would play where Perotta does, and I think he is better then Perotta, atleast from a finishing stand point, so it would make sense. But I like the guy, he is dedicated to the cause and he knows even if he doesnt play alot, Dunga will select him for the nT. I expect more playing time for him this year, I have a feeling Schuster is gonna rotate a bit more now that he is used to the players and he has more depth to work with. But if he goes, then I will thank him for his service and miss yelling out BEAST! whenever he touches the ball.
