I don’t think Ronaldo can fit in at Madrid because at Man U he was free to go wherever he wanted on the pitch (due to the fact that Fureson dosn’t know tactics) but at Real, I doubt that Shuster would let Ronaldo roam like that. Plus he will be up against a normal defense.

Wow…he’s sure going to regret that decision.
Leaving Madrid because of that? Talk about loyalty…
C. Ronaldo is a good player, but he’s not worth so much. Personally I don’t think he’s going to do so well with Madrid. He just won’t fit in. His style of playing football is different and it might take quite a while for him to adjust with the team.

Elisa – no doubt, I’m so glad SPAIN won without Raul and justified Aragones rants and anti-Raul tantrums. Maybe Schuster will grow a pair and sit that old fogey on the bench where he belongs instead of taking up space in the lineup while preventing another young player from developing.

estoverao – well stated and I couldn’t agree with you more. The politics, money and power is intense at Madrid. It’s funny how La Furia did so well this year with only 2 Madridistas. That said, never a dull minute and gotta love them for their constant fight to be the biggest and best club in the World. Hala Madrid.

matt – sorry about that; case of mistaken identity. And despite the fact that I agree with Corey in the ManU/Madrid = Pot/Kettle argument, if I were a United fan I’d be a bit bitter about los blancos too. But considering what estoverao so poignently laid forth, I’m not sure United wouldn’t be getting a HELL of a deal, especially with the bath tub full of cash that would most likely be included in the swap. I hope Madrid decides better than to go through with it. But then again, as Corey pointed out, they’d sell a hell of a lot of jerseys.

One question I still haven’t figured out. If Ronaldo does come to Madrid, what number will he wear? 9? He’s not really a number 9, though.

EPL has 4 strong teams and 16 weak teams. Do you ever see anyone but Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea Man U at the top? No.
In La Liga it is always changing. Villareal got second!
In the Series A Roma (a team with no BIG names exept Totti) was second and Florentina was 4th while Milan (a strong team FYI) was 5th. Always changing always competition. EPL top 4 are always in the CL but the rest of the leagues fight for it.

Martin- You are dead wrong. EPL has bad defence.
There are many reasons.
One is that the left and right defenders are more like wingers to support the attack and during set pieces the CBs come for headers leaving midfielders or strikers as defenders and open to a counter attack. La Liga and Series A have the best defense and GKing. Casillas, Buffon, Doni (sometimes), Palop, Valdes (when he dosn’t cut his hair), list goes on and on. The defenders: Ramos, Puyol, Cannavaro, Nesta, Zambrotta, Alves, Abidal, Pepe, Materazzi (when he feels like it and isn’t suspended), Juan, Mexes…. too many to write.
In the EPL, ok the top 4 teams have a good defense. What about the rest of the 20 or so teams? Ok, Portsmouth have Cambell. Thats one. The rest of the teams get dismantled by the likes of Torres, Drogba, Adebayore, Ronaldo. Thats why we are saying that if any of them come to Spain they won’t score nearly as much. Did Torres score that much at Atletico? NO.

Don’t worry guys, no Barca praising on this blog by my part. I didn’t know many fans didn’t want Ronaldo… Why is that?
And Corey I meant enemy as rival. I massively enjoy El Classico even when Barca loses (which they have been doing a lot lately…). In my opinion Real is getting too caught up in the “Ronaldo is the best player in the world thing” and they are forgetting amazing players like Robinho. Also, what makes you (Real Madrid bosses) think that Ronaldo won’t do the same thing to you as he did to Man U whenever he feels like leaving.
Hope we can have friendly “arguments” and discussions.

corey: maybe if you can’t take a little criticism you shouldn’t be blogging…and it’s not like it was that biting really dude i just c/p’ed what you yourself said about robinho..you need to lighten up…i know for damn sure that man united aren’t saints but in my book real madrid takes the cake when it comes to what’s wrong w/ football. sorry dude…not gonna change my mind.
