Thanks Inara. I agree, Robben may be held onto because of Malouda’s injury, hence the hike in the transfer fee to somethin like 50mil. Robben wants to come but the two clubs are at logger heads, and I honestly see Schuster telling Pedja to forget it and get someone equally as talented, aka Quaresma or VdV.

I’m so glad to see that you have your own blog, Corey. You know so much about football and about so many different teams, that it’s good you’re sharing it.

I thought that Robben would be a done deal for Madrid, but then Malouda got injured during the Community Shield, so maybe Mourinho will try to keep him?

I also don’t think Alves will do well outside of Sevilla. He’s the only case I can think of where the team is built around him, a pretty rare scenario because he’s a right back. He won’t get the support he receives now at any of the other big clubs.

Guti does not really have form, he is polarizing. he has good games and bad games, no in betweens. thus the use of de la red and gago will become important, and i suspect if one of those plays raul will drop back into the hole like he use to. this will create a chain like link between rvn and the defense. But I think Guti will remain more consistent this year because he will have less defensive duties, albeit diarr/emerson will be bogged down which is always troublesome.

Wow, on the job for less than 12 hours, and already siding with the enemies. What’s a true Madrista to think of that? Just kidding, glad someone finally took up the post – thanks Corey.

I’m also a die hard Madrid fan, and look forward to sharing news and opinion. To start – and I’m well aware of his rabid inconsistancy – how about Guti’s form throughout the Russian Railway series? I think he’s going to work out swimmingly with Schuster’s plans (when, of course, he’s on).
