Some News For Your End of the Year Blues
By: Corey | December 28th, 2007Such a catchy title, thanks thanks. You may feel that another year has wasted away and your left with nothing to show for t. Well that may be true, but here is some Real Madrid news to lighten up the remainder of your year.
- Marca says Sergio Ramos hooks up his iPod to speakers in the locker room and blasts Alegria by Gipsy Kings before matches and at halftime. This is supposively an anthem for the team who get pumped when they hear the song. Thats fair enough, I listen to Rage Against the Machine before I play, usually does the trick. Got a goal in a tournament game last night so I can believe this story. My question is, do they all sing and dance together or do they just sit there and listen?

Is That Megan Fox from Transformers?? Damn Sergio, Nice Going
- Bonus time for the players, and Marca has the low down again, this time saying that a 900,000 euro bonus per player. This bonus would kick in if they were to win the treble, which is a possibility, but it always is at this time of they year for Real, not to be cocky, its just to early in the season to write it off. These bonuses were agreed during the summer tour of Spain, and now Marca speculates that the sum may have increased by 50% due to the positive start to the season. These players make enough, I certainly dont get a bonus for fixing computers or selling calenders or putting PVC pipe away, but I still work hard every day. Not to be a martyr, but the player salaries are good enough, a bonus is a joke.
- Real are obviously following Hatem Ben Arfa and Karim Benzema, the Lyon boys. But its been revealed that Julen Lopetegui, Real Madrid scout, has his eye more on Ben Arfa then Benzema. Id say Benzema is a bettter prospect, atleast for what we need. Ben Arfa may need another year in the oven, well to be honest they both need to stay at Lyon for another year or two. We dont need another Clarence Seedorf situation. But Lopetegui considers Ben Arfa a priority and wants to sign him before the EURO as his stock will rise considerably one would assume. Smart idea.

Thats Him With Benzema Talking To Monaco’s Serge Gakpe (Another Talent)
- Real still are watching Mirco Vucinic, better known as Vucigol. If Roma want Robben, Real want Mirco. Id prefe that swap to a Mancini one, such is my level of disdain for the the Brazilian. Check it Chris.
And thats it, short news day with the winter break upon on us, although Marca sure do find the strangest things to report. I will have a nother post in the youth team series I have started, but other then that Im done for the year, I will see you all in 2008 when the transfer window is open. Adios.

It’s the same every transfer window - someone should keep a list of all the players ‘linked’ with Real Madrid and then see what percentage of them actually come true. I suspect any movement in Real’s squad this winter will be outgoing not incoming, but there will probably be very little change, if any.
By the way, who’s this sergica tw*t who has been spamming the comments? Can they be deleted?
