we do need one more striker.nd i m not a fan of el conejo either.we should sell him.ruud nd raul r both getting on in years nd d 1 striker that we do have after dem is really shy about scoring.yeah,its higuain i m talking about.nd wid baptista on his way out out we don´t have ne cover at all.i would luv more spanish players in d team.don´t wanna end up like arsenal or inter milan.although i like villa a lot i am not sure i want that many prima donnas in the team.if all three r fit nd in form 1 will b benched nd none r very likely to take dat well.i don´t know.all the ones we r luking at have dere own risks.huntelaar,too many dutch.villa , high possibility of strife(he is also sumwat injury-prone).but we gotta sign sum1.dat much is clear 2 me.

I’d also like to see more of our youth players make the first team, but this is Real Madrid, so being good is not enough, they have to be excellent to be a part of this team.

I’ve liked a lot of the youth players in the past, but when they leave, I know it’s because they’re not good enough to play at the Bernabeu. Look at the last players who ever made it out of la Cantera: Raul, Casillas, Guti, and Eto’o. Those have been the only world class players that we have produced in the last 15 years…

if Huntelaar were to join us we would be the Dutch team! Ur right John we do need more spanish players. If Villa arrives he wouldn’t want to be benched either. I really had hoped Soldado would of gotten a better chance in the first team.

It’s interesting that there’s been relatively little talk about transfering ‘the rabbit’ this summer. Even though I’ve given him thorough abuse in the past, Saviola did impress me on a couple occasions towards the end of last season. If he were to work on his positioning…

But I’m not convinced he’s a Madrid class striker. With the transfer window nearing a close, I agree with Donovan that we could use one more class striker to spell Raul and Ruud, as insurance against injuries, and to keep that competitive flame under everyone’s asses – make sure they work for their starts. The hot talk is focusing on Villa and Huntelaar, and even though Huntelaar would probably be a better fit (height, and would accept the ‘either prove yourself or sit down’ situation, whereas I’m not sure Villa would) I’m concerned about the increasing lack of Spanish influence on the team. Any thoughts?

i for one also cannot wait for the season to kick off. Just wondering if we are gonna purchase another striker. Oh yes about Callejon if Schuster really liked so much why not keep him in the team since we so short of right sided wingers. I know he would not play that much but i dont know any more? I wonder what goes on in Schusters head? What does he really think about our cantera?
