Astoria, please send me an email at cnfiske@quinnipiac.edu and I will get you steup with an account. I definately need a live blogger if Steve is not up to it anymore. Thanks.

I am pleased De la Red scored too. As for a fantasy league, I am looking into that right now, should have something up this week for it.

u called it Corey! U said Van Nistelrooy and De La Red would score in the preview u gave. Im happy we won and i think we should be happy with the way Robben played. If he can continue like that and hopefully stay injury free then i for one wont miss Robinho. Also i am so happy De la Red scored. Hope he continues to play and develop further coz he is a star player. On another note does anyone know a good fantasy league for the spanish league.

What a phenomenal game! Hala Madrid!!! It says a lot about a team that plays so poorly in the first half (doesn’t attack, sits back, allows a goal, 1 player sent off), then comes out roaring in the second half – and grows stronger, as their disadvantage gets larger. To be able to adjust, to commit to an attacking mentality, to never let up despite being 2 men down - I felt, in the end, like I was witnessing history. How many teams can do that? How many teams can bore you to death in the first half – only to have you at the edge of your seat in the second, and laughing at the end, so proud? Only one. So this is Real Madrid. “Capable of everything”, as the headline on AS says.

Hey, Corey or Steve – how can I submit a (belated) live blog to post? Or are you guys looking for such contributions? I’ll love to contribute if I can – thanks!

For once Calderon has done a good job by asking Robinho to buy out his contract. Even then, it would be a severe setback for a club like Real Madrid if a player leaves against the wishes of the club. That too in the season where they lost to another big club. It would make us look soft. The club never came out and said we want a transfer of Ronaldo with Robinho going the other way. It was only in the press, but you can argue saying they're the voice of Real, he could've always spoken to the directors regarding this. If it's only a wage increase, then it's a pity that he and his agent have taken the shit-stirring route to that.

Now coming to the football-ing decision. Will it change us from a title-winning side to a top four side? NO. Will it weaken us? Yes. Will we need a replacement? Not really. As before we only need a striker. And Robinho has never been prolific (in fact his shooting ability is real bad).

I hope the fans make him know what they really feel about him. Though I don't entirely believe in boo-ing, I would completely be OK in this case. He can cunt off if he wants to, but pay up before that.

I know Callejon was sold, I lament the fact that both he and his brother were sold to La Liga teams and will both be starters for them when the could have done a good job for Real. Not automatic starters, but in a situation like the next game, they would be perfect.

Canna is not fit, he wont be for a week or two, his injury must be treated with more caution because of his age.
