The Boss At The Bernabeu
By: Corey | July 17th, 2008This is a little old, but I have had so much to post lately that it got lost in the mess of posts I have put up. “The Boss” will be starting the European leg of a tour to promote his new record, Magic, at the Bernabeu. In case you didnt know, the Boss is a man we Americans know as Bruce Springsteen, and he, like Bon Jovi, is probably one of the only good things to come out of New Jersey.
Bruce Springsteen’s concert at the Santiago Bernabéu will take place on Thursday at 21:30. Thousands of fans will meet at a legendary stadium to see a legendary artist.
Here is the lowdown on the concert:
The Santiago Bernabéu stadium will be packed again on Thursday, but not for a football match; Bruce Springsteen’s Magic Tour lands in the Spanish capital to thrill us with his brand of rock n’ roll.
Springsteen will play songs from his latest album, Magic, his first effort with the E Street Band since 2002. According to its producer, Brendan O’Brien, Magic is “a CD with high voltage rock n’ roll. It is very well performed by Bruce and the E Street Band and, as usual, it has a lot to say. It is also a very entertaining record.”
So if your in Madrid on Thursday (tomorrow, the 17th) you can catch some Americana rock and roll, and see the Bernabeu while your at it.

pat:
Baptista is an excellent, excellent player. He has good pace, is great at playing the ball forward and is a serious threat on goal from distance. Great eye for goal in general. However, despite his size, he tends to have trouble keeping posession, and tends to be a bit inconsistant. He’s going to be a great addition to any side he joins, but at present, with all the competition for spots in the midfield, he won’t see much playing time at Madrid. He deserves to be a starter, which is why he’ll probably leave, and I think I speak for most Madridista’s in saying he’ll be missed.
That’s my take, anyhow.
