Vaction Time

By: Corey | June 26th, 2009

Well its come time for me to take my vacation for the year from blogging. I do this only because one gets a little run down with the constant posting and I am to be honest, a tad burned out right now. I plan on being out of action until the 13th of July, so thats a whole two weeks or so of not coverage from me. I apologize, but the break is needed. When I return, preseason will be right around the corner and we will have had presentations of the players we signed this summer so far. I promise to put a post up with picture of the presentations of Kaka, Ronaldo and Raul Albiol when they happen, but beyond that it will be pretty quiet around here. So feel free to discuss whatever you want on this thread. Just dont get rowdy, I would hate to have to come back from my vacation early to moderate comments.

Have a good couple of weeks everyone, and as always HALA MADRID!

To “”Ur an idiot “I hate madrid”", your an absolute joke for having to createa an alias to respond to me, grow a pair and post with your regular name.

” u think he would get picked if he was doing crap”

yes I do its because very few coaches have the balls to bench him, he is a real madrid hero.

” you think he would be picked for Spain if he wasnt scoring.”

Actually he hasn’t played for spain in years. Idiot

And your commments about Raul always scoring when getting a chance is insane, he misses a lot of sitters. I know he will give his all, but that just shows that he is determined, not necessarily a great player.

Cesar, showing me his goals this season is meaningless. He has been useless in most big games, and very inconsistent. He scores when he gets fed sitters.

RealRock, you are a joke. You have nothing to add except insults. Not gonna waste my time with you.

oh wowser!!!!! i just got called a joke. and u “Ur an idiot ‘IHM’” are an absolute joke. rejoice, you worthless mortal madridistas.you have just been called a joke by the legend who is gonna go down in history as the one of the biggest _____(do us a favor great one, dont fill it urself)of them all who incidentally seems to be obsessed with BALLS. yippeeeee, yaaaaaaaay. take that all of you who think of this future genius(the great one,IHM/ICLWOM) as an imbecile, idiotic, stupid,…… guy/gal/she-man(cant leave that out).well,i have the same opinion as you folks but we should not turn a blind eye to the possibility that today’s mad hatter can be tommorow’s genius.

cesar, nihit,Ur an idiot”IHM”,bow before this great intellect that graces our humble abode. and pray tell me,hermanos, was my complimenting him as a current idiot but probable future genius wrong in any way ??? i thought that was a compliment.

Of course it was a compliment realrock!!!!

ICLWOM, I just showed you Raul’s best goals from this season because there were some real beauties amongst them, I know he’s not as decisive as he once was, but still he’s a very important player for the team…

And your comment about him missing a lot of sitters is just ridiculous; EVERY STRIKER misses LOTS OF SITTERS, it’s part of the game, they miss obvious chances as does any other player, so you saying he misses lots of sitters would be the same as saying “iker is the best goalie because he lets in goals” or some other nonsense….

You just keep posting your opinion based on your opinion, as I told you before, come with some statistical facts (oh no can’t do, you don’t believe in them!!!) and build a strong case as to why he’s overrated, and in the process enlighten us with your infinite futbol wisdom….

Cesar, every striker misses sitters indeed. I was refering to an idiot’s comment about Raul ALWAYS scoring when getting a chance. Stats are misleading, they don’t tell the whole story. Stats don’t show how many chances a player misses for example.

RealRock you are not at all funny. And of course some madridistas will say that you are but thats only because you’re a madridista.

“RealRock you are not at all funny.” – hahahaha. realrock, sorry buddy but IHM sorta had a point there.

but anyway, IHM you seem to me the type to rate a player based on how good he is at dribbling, his ability to dribble past opposition, his ability to do ‘tricks’ and other kinds of flashy things. in short, you seem to rate a player based on what entertains you.

Raul, speaking purely technically may not be brilliant (except for his finishing, his ability to place the ball into corners is 2nd to none), but things you can’t see, such as his work rate and tireless efforts make him as effective a player as any other (when he was in his prime). sure he lacks the dribbling ability and pace to sprint past a couple of defenders, but like i said, his work ethic, determination and commitment to the cause mean his efforts are often unseen, but that doesnt mean he is any less of a player. we have seen players withfar more talent fail just because thehave a poor mentality and attitude towards the game, when they could have achieved so much more…think guys like djalminha, denilson and so on. But they cannot be uttered in the same breath as Raul purely because of the way he makes up for his natural talent with his pure determination and effort (not to mention the finishing and his ability to position himself) mean that he is underrated by fans who look for players who attempt ‘rabonas’ and other flashy shit like that, but his record speaks for itself. I can confidently state that if Saviola was to be given Raul’s place in the team for a season, he would not score as many goals.

Stats can show misses too, so I don’t see your point; clearly, you only think that raul’s stats are overrated, just because of your bias against all things madrid, which, to tell you the truth, is kind of sad, because you clearly can’t have a discussion supported by facts, so please, stop with the “raul’s stats are overrated” blabber, and make valid points, supported by credible info, and not only on your own personal opinion…

Nihit>IHM. And comment of the year award to Nihit. I’m going to completely disregard all of IHM’s comments after Nihit’s post, because not one of them in any way rebuts what Nihit stated. In fact, they just reinforce Nihit’s argument. Nihit – if you’re ever in Chicago, the first round’s on me.

Oh, and once again guys, can we please refrain from calling names. Every time I see the word ‘idiot’ in a post I stop reading. Thanks John. Though im in India currently, i’ll be coming to Boston for higher studies from this August. Maybe i’ll take you up on your drinks offer if im ever in Chicago. :D

And with I Hate Madrid, he does make valid points quite a few times. Its just that he tends to go overboard with the tone and content often which makes it tough for other posters to politely acknowledge what he’s saying. But just like every good comedian can do with a haggler and since he brings out good discussion ocassionally, its not that bad having him around. Lets all just ignore his vicious comments and look at what he’s actually trying to bring up.

well, we are all firmly entrenched in our opinions. for us,raul is great. for IHM/ICLWOM,he sucks. we love madrid. he hates madrid. and however much we scream,err..type at each other, none of us are gonna change our opinions. so,why tire our fingers out ???

moving on,kaka is being presented today.finally, him in the white shirt. yay.

and can calderon fall any further??? now there are reports all over that he paid commisions to a lot of folks. is that the politically correct term for bribing ??this guy wins the competition for worst club president ever hands down. and mijatovic just about edges out alessio secco for the worst sporting director ever.

Kaka wont have to make a big change from the Milan away jersey to our home jersey. Same brand of shirt, same sponsor, same basic design. Only big differences are crest change and black stripes instead of red.

One funny thing though. ICLWOM constantly said how sucks Raul is. But as we punched some sense into him, little by little he admit things like “yes, he has great fitness” and “yes, he’s determined”. Haha.. I suppose his version of great strikers are those who played for Barca but never scored a lot of goals since stats can be misleading. Hahahaha..

Sad news about DLR looks like no conclusive news about his heart complaint so Madrid have advised him not to play anymore. It´s such a pity when a promising canterano can´t step up for his team

heartbreak for all of us. no DLR for us. thats so fucking screwed up. after years,we get a canterano who seems good enough to be a constant starter and we lose him.

this makes the signing of xabi alonso an absolute neccessity. and bringing back granero. but even if they arrive, its not gonna lessen the regret.i hope they take good care of ruben though. give him some position with the club.sad,man.
